Dallas Driveway Pros pours concrete driveways. We tear out old ones, pour new ones, widen them, build approaches at the street and pads for RVs and boats, and fix panels that cracked, sank or heaved. We pour concrete only, no asphalt or pavers. Call (469) 257-3979 and we will come out, measure the driveway and give you a written price for free.

Driveway problems we fix in Dallas

Black clay, hard rain and long dry summers are rough on concrete. These are the calls we get most:

Some of these need one new panel. Others need the whole driveway. We tell you which at the estimate, and if a repair will hold, we price the repair.

Built for Dallas dirt

Much of Dallas sits on Houston Black clay, the Texas state soil. It swells when it gets wet and shrinks as it dries, and a driveway poured on it moves every year. Higher spots, especially toward the west side of the county, sit on chalk with thin soil over rock. We see what is under your driveway when the old slab comes out, and we build the base for it. The Dallas clay guide explains how.

The age of the house changes the job too. Lakewood's houses mostly date from the mid-1920s through the 1940s, and many have narrow driveways running back to a garage behind the house. Preston Hollow has long and circular driveways on big lots. Lake Highlands, Richardson and Garland filled in after World War II, and many of those homes load from an alley.

Then there is the city line. Inside Dallas, an approach needs a paving permit and a site plan. University Park, Richardson, Garland and Mesquite run their own permits and inspections. Our permits guide walks through each, and we handle the filing on every job.

How a driveway job goes

  1. Call (469) 257-3979 or send the form. Tell us about the driveway and roughly how big it is. If you want a ballpark first, the cost calculator gives you one.

  2. We come out and measure. We check the slope, the drainage, the approach, the alley or street edge and where the truck can park.

  3. You get a written price. Each part of the job, from tear-out to permits, has its own line, so you can see what you are paying for.

  4. We pour and clean up. We file the permit, form, set the steel, pour and finish. Then we haul off the scraps and tell you when the cars can go back on it.

Driveway questions we hear in Dallas

How much does a new concrete driveway cost in Dallas?

A 5 inch broom finish driveway runs about $7 to $11 per square foot installed. A 720 square foot two-car driveway comes to roughly $5,040 to $7,920 before tear-out. The cost guide has the full breakdown.

Do I need a permit to replace my driveway approach?

In Dallas, yes. The approach sits on city property and needs a paving permit with a site plan. We prepare both. Nearby cities have their own permits, and we handle those too.

When can I park on my new driveway?

You can walk on it the next day. Wait about a week for cars, and longer for a moving truck or a loaded trailer.

Can you do an asphalt or paver driveway?

No. Concrete is the only thing we pour.

Is the estimate really free?

Yes. We measure, talk through finishes and thickness, and leave you a written price. It costs nothing, and you are under no obligation.
